We are dedicated to promoting hobby, amateur and experimental rocketry to students of Royal Holloway as well as the wider community.
We aim to design, build, and test rockets, explore the underlying physics behind rocketry and develop other space exploration technology. In addition, the society seeks to assist all members to expand their technical knowledge, develop new skills and increase their employability.
Join and be part of the global rocketry community. We strive to provide an inclusive, fun environment and encourage cooperation and collaboration between members and other groups.
Whether you are a seasoned rocketeer or just curious, RHRS has something for you. Got a good idea for a rocket? Payload experiment? Perhaps a rover or robotics project? RHRS helps our members find funding and build teams for interesting and novel projects.
It is a rainy 4am, and a stressful moring as the computer room is filled with students desperately trying to finish their coursework. Out of procrastination, an idea is born: why not start a rocketry society?
RHRS is ratified by the RHSU! After weeks of planning and preparing, we are ready for the Fresher's Fair. Find us at the GIAG event, and check out our page here.
Our very first rocket launch. Click here to watch Nikolai soaring to the skies!
We are building a bigger (and better) rocket, but we need your help! With enough interest and your support, we will be able to travel to a dedicated launch site and reach an altutude of 3000 feet.
We had great fun launching bottle rockets at the GIAG 2017 event. Don't forget, there was a prize draw! Click here to enter your email address for a chance to win a free rocket kit. Be quick, the link will be close Monday 25/09/2017 at midnight!
